First day of the road trip. It was exactly as I suspected, tiring and boring. Of course, that(s) how all long drives are. Always the same dreadful journey, but there is always a memorable destination.
Our first stop takes place in Oxford, Mississippi where ours friends, the ***** (pronounced *****) are now living. The stop was very enjoyable and unforgetable. My parents were reacquainted to there friends that they have not seen for more than seven years and I was introduced to a friend that I'm sure I will always know. This friend was AK, the *****'s oldest daughter that was only eleven days older than me. I had an amazing time having dinner, playing with friends, and getting to know the family.
Even though we were enjoying our stay, we couldn't be there forever. We had to depart and continue our epic adventure. We waved goodbye to our friends and started to drive. We drove for about an hour and found a hotel. Tomorrow we are going to be driving to Texas.

ReplyDeleteHow cool to have a friend that is only 11 days older/younger than you. Hang in there, I'm sure the stops will make the boring drive worth while.
