Enjoying Couches at the Hampton Inn...

So after our late night of catching up with our hosts, we were feeling very thankful for good coffee this morning. Our friends from San Antonio, who we'll call the Couches, showed up around 10. We then commenced the tour of Breckenridge, TX. The big culturalattraction here is the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center (BFAC), and it was surprisingly very nice!! We then drove over to St. Andrew's Anglican Church, where our our friend is the Rector (though he says people really don't call him that, they call him "Father"). What a gorgeous gem in the middle of Texas. We are a little bummed to not be able to worship again with them, but alas, the roadtrip must go on...
Several of the kids took a trip to the community pool, then the big kids drove to Abilene to take in a movie (it's about 55 miles away). The little boys have been playing with their airsoft guns and/or on their video game systems, and we adults have been drinking and talking all afternoon. Our hostess has graciously made some veggie lasagna and it's just been such a nice day of hanging with friends. I feel a bit teenager-ish myself right now.
Tomorrow, the Couches will have to leave early to get back to SA, because the big girls are leaving for a mission trip to Arkansas from there at 2 tomorrow afternoon, and we'll be headed out to Albuquerque as soon as we're ready.
We are just once again SO grateful and blessed to have such awesome friends that we can roll in and pick right back up with our relationship.
